Many of our pictures are available in color or black and white. The B&W versions are not a simple grey scale you may be familiar with. Any photo kiosk allows you to choose color or B&W and they do so by simply removing the color.
The photographer takes his color image and then converts to B&W by selectively modifying the individual color levels, then burns and dodges areas to achieve the desired B&W print.
